Is it possible to load an *.avi file on a Memory Stick in Windows 7

as Bill2 says - of course.

just open it (which is what i presume you mean by 'load') the same way that you would open any other avi file stored on your hard drive, by double-clicking in explorer, or use the 'open file' dialogue in your media player and navigate to the memory stick.
