Hi. I have had this problem for as long as I can remember. When MCupdate runs either from the Task Scheduler or if I manually update Media Center , I get "Media Center Store update manager has stopped working". I've tried deleting the database and turned off Media Center and back on again from "Turn Windows Features On and Off" in Control Panel to no avail. Actually if I do a manual update I get the download was successful message but if I look in the Event Viewer it still shows the MCupdate crash. I've stopped the task from running in the Task Scheduler. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium. I've searched extensively for a solution but haven't found one. Reinstalling Windows is not an option as the computer works perfectly except for this one problem. Any insight to this problem would be much appreciated.
