Windows Media Center won't change titles in Recorded TV

I changed the episode names of some shows I recorded in the properties/details of those files. But Media Center still shows the old data when I open Recorded TV in Media Center, however when I right click the files in the windows folder it shows the new data. So I guess WMC has stored the old info somewhere. I tried moving the video to another folder and then back again but it didn't work. Does anyone know how to get Media Center to recognize the changes?

I edit the episode name by right click the file then in properties edit the wtv and add episode name and synopsis etc then this from another forum site:

Removing mcepg2-0.db and rebooting did the trick to update the Recorded TV titles, etc. in Media Center with what's in the Windows Media Player Library. But, like you also said, I had to go through the initial Windows Media Center TV Setup process again. This also means I'll have to set my recording schedule, EPG Add/Remove Channel settings, etc

It still does not group renamed shows with other episodes i.e. a renamed Bonanza is separate from the other epidodes but this will update the properties of the episode in WMC.

i think u have to clear old data from windows media centre.
try to clear temp first to do this click start-in search type %temp% & delete all.
if some things not deleted skip them.i'm not sure but maybe it can help !!
