    Music Data?

Is there a program that does the same job for Music as Metabrowser does for Films/TV's?

Not done anything Re: music yet, do songs even have metadata?

    Hi ardandy,

You could open Media Player then right click each file/album & select 'Find album info'. This will access a Microsoft site which will download all the information for each file (if it's in the database) including album images.

mikinho, the creator of Yammm - Yet Another Media Meta Manager may well be working on something so i'll report in that when it's ready.

    Hope this helps :)

Depends on their file-type, Wav files don't, but most ppl don't deal with them because there huge but there are many, many file-types that do.
(Mp3, Mp4, wma, aac, flac, ape, ogg... the list goes on and on) :)

The metadata info for music is more commonly known as 'tags', with ID3 being the most common tag used. (MP3/MP4 players understand this format)

I've been trying out WMP12 but its pretty crap for finding singles and individual album tracks.

Most of my songs are picked from albums (filtered out what I don't like) so when it searches all sorts come up!

Album info it seems good at but band/singles info its not too good with IMO.

i think your problem is mainly caused from bad or incomplete tags. try jaikoz

personall y I dont use wmp much - either I use orangecd with winamp and cdartdisplay
or some time i use jrivermedia center or media monkey
orangecd is a music cataloger - best ive seen
That along with jaikoz for tagging my files and it works great, but i want to work on this just to have inside my media center as an option.
