Problem burning dvd in Windows Dvd maker

I am trying to burn an *.avi file onto a dvd disk to play on the TV.
I am using Windows DVD Maker and when I add the avi file then press Burn, it reports that a dvd burner can not be found.
Yet there is a dvd burner on my computer loaded with a blank dvd.
I cannot figure out what the problem is.

Any help welcome.

I had the same problem.
When I removed my 3g usb modem, it worked ok.
