Persistant Windows Media Player "error" messages

A new Win7 Laptop with WMP. When playing mp3 files on the PC there are many repeated messages about shortcuts pointing to various .png files saying the .png files are no longer there, asking delete shortcut yes or no.

It constantly pops up referencing different .png files

I have done nothing unusual with the program of music on the PC. What is this message referring to??

    Thanks

.png s are graphics files. perhaps album cover that you deleted or moved (even tho most covers come as .jpg files)
Next time check where the shortcut/link points to. It could always be automatically created links that point to your TEMP directory (for example, if you listen to online music)

on the player options page, check the two boxes, Connect to Internet. and Add remote media files to library when played.

    Hmmm.

I did move cover art from a folder which had 1500 separate mp3 files. The just cluttered the folder.
