Windows media center won't output through my soundcard

Hello, I have a Creative XFI Titanium Fatality Pro sound card. I am using the toslink with Dolby Digital Live to output to my surround sound headset. I haven't experienced any problems with the toslink output on my sound card.

However, in Windows Media Center speaker setup, I set the output to toslink (digital) 5.1 surround speakers I get no sound at all.

I think that Windows Media Center is setting the output to my onboard toslink output (which I have disabled due to using my Creative XFI sound card). Is there a way to set the output to my Creative XFI sound card?

How exactly did you disable Toslink? Did you disable it from your list of playback devices?

Or you could perhaps try to disable Toslink from the Device Manager in the Control Panel. Collapse Sound Devices and if Toslink is listed there, right click it and Disable, then try setting up the sound on Windows Media Center again.
