    Windows Media Center

I personaly do not like Windows Media Center for browsing my digital photos.
I used to use Ulead Photo Explorer 6.

Does anyone know of a image browser which works as well as PE6 did in Win 98SE, for use in Win 7 x64 OS.

Image browser for Win 7 x64

    Yeah Thanks.

I guess I will have to be satisfied, not as good as PE6, but way better than the worthless Windows Media Center or Windows picture viewer.

I had tried this progam when I was running XP, but uninstalled it due to PE6 functioning semi sort of in XP which was still better than FastStone in my Opinion.
    Had forgotten all about it.
    So, once again Thanks.

Oh, I did when running XP.
Thought it was a flaming waste of time and effort when compared to PE6.
The only thing GOOGLE I use is their search engine.
But have not tried it since installing Win 7 - will now and compare to FastStone.
    Thanks for the reminder.

Not sure what features you are looking for that makes you prefer PE6 since I've never used it. I recently discovered this viewer/organizer software and really like it: Zoner Photo Studio

    To (Strollin).
Well PE6 (Photo Explorer 6) from Ulead Systems was included with the first flatbed scanner my wife and I bought.
It used Windows Explorer to browse image files on your computer.
Nothing special - until everybody wanted to improve and make things more difficult.
PE6 worked fantastic with Windows 98SE was sluggish in XP and will not open in Windows 7.
But even Sluggish in XP (I still prefered it over all these other programs) due to it's ease of use.
Today all the image viewers want you to upload to facebook, youtube, edit, share, or transfer to your computer before you can even view a thumbnail.

    Thus my ANGST!

    Photo Explorer 6 was so simple (which made it Brilliant) that today all the bells and whistles are just that{gadgets inthe way which collect RUST}

Sorry to vent, hope this brings you up to date.
    Take care,

    I need to apologise.

    Hey! Everyone I am sorry.

I had no idea so few people were familiar with Photo Explorer 6 from Ulead.
It was an HP Scanner the program was included with. So I thought more people would be familiar with it. My mistake.

Anyway it was a great program, open and browse all your image files anywhere on your PC.

These other programs want you to dedicate (kids not born yet to software research) before you can even view one picture on your computer - let alone a thumbnail image -.

I do not have time for that kind of crap.

You must understand I never once considered PE6 a photo editing program or solution for bad photography.

My opinion is - If you took a bad picture then - YOU TOOK A BAD PICTURE:
Get over it delete it or whatever.

It is the developers trying to make editing easy for preschoolers ruining the chances of us having a decent photo viewer/manager program.

All I want to do is view the thumbnails on my sd cards so I do not have to open each individual file in order to decide to save or pass on it.
