    Netflix Problem

I am having a problem that just started today with netflix in wmc. I get this error when I try and stream anything. I have tried several things like clearing IE cache, running cc cleaner, reinstalling silverlight/netflix plugin to no avail. I have even tried on my laptop and I get this same error. Can anyone help?
    Thanks

I'm having the same issue that started on 6/29. I can open Netflix on WMC to browse the selection but when I click play I get the "not authenticated" issue.

If I ever got that issue before I would clear all cache, cookies, temp file from IE8 32-bit. This time, it didn't work. I've tried reinstalling silverlight and removing the netflix from the application storage. I've also tried deleting the mspr.hds file. Nothing has worked.

I also went to a different computer in my home that never used the netflix plug-in. I downloaded the plug-in and started netflix and got the same error.

It doesn't look like WMC is sending the login\pw to Netflix when trying to play the file. I noticed that I'm not getting the WMC blue box asking me if I want to share my login information. That's the part that seems to be failing. I hope someone can give a new solution.

I'm having the same issue across all my media centers. I called netflix and told me that it shouldn't have worked for some time now.

Netflix authentication problem in WMC but not in browsers

I also am seeing the authentication problem with Netflix in WMC (Win 7 64bit) on our HTPC.

The same result obtains whether launching from the icon in the Movies strip in WMC start menu, launching in Boxee under WMC (never gets past "connecting to the Netflix movie server"), or launching from Internet TV Channels in TV strip in WMC. Also have the same connecting problem in Boxee standalone app.

But, Netflix works fine in IE and in Firefox (v8 and v4 respectively).

I noticed lots of updates from MS over the last couple of days.... about the time this problem started.... including a Silverlight update that makes me suspicious. Also, at some point recently, the Netflix streaming UI changed... maybe the API did as well?

Applying all the superstitious or otherwise fixes that have worked for others when this happened in 2009, 2010, etc, did not make this problem go away for me.

Hoping for a resolution for restored peace in the household.

While I can't say I'm exactly glad that I'm not the only one, it feels good that it's not just me. I'm curious, does anyone have a working netflix plugin in Media Center, or did they ALL break yesterday? It seems rather large scale, so I'm hoping that means the fix will come quickly.

    Hello,

I've been using Netflicks for a while but only through FF. I didn't even know you can play through WMC. Did you contact support? They are extremely helpful.

    Best regards,

I have the same problem. Three computers, all Windows 7. All the same problem! This really sucks. Netflix and WMC has been working great for me for the last year. How do we escalate the problem with Microsoft?

    Same here

Same problem here, noticed netflix will stream on all browsers except ie x64. was running ie8 updated to 9 still the same thing. I you try to stream it will Ask you to download silverlight. Uninstalled/reinstalled rebooted no luck. I thing WMC is tring to use x64 version of IE an this is where the problem lies. So I think if we can get it to play there we can get it to play in WMC. My wife is already suggesting goin back to Cable.

    HELP
