    WMC won't record live radio?

Why doesn't WMC allow you to record live radio? What's the difference between that and recording live TV? When listening to live radio, the Record button is grayed-out. What's up with that?

I think there is some sort of licensing or something that isn't there to record radio

Possibly, but Hauppauge WinTV allows radio recording. That was the only reason I loaded it. I was hoping that WMC had a config option somewhere so I didn't have to have two media programs. Like Microsoft thinks there's nowhere else to get music?

It's a Hauppauge 2250 w/dual tuner + FM. I use the Antec Veris with remote. It works great with WMC on HD locals and a satellite box. I can record anything on TV. Just can't record FM--With WMC, that is.

It's pretty much two tuners which can be used in different combinations. If WMC is setup to use both tuners for TV, then there won't be a tuner to record radio. You probably have to setup one tuner for TV and the other for radio.

I've never known these cards to have 2 tuners plus 1 Radio tuner, but I could be wrong.

You're not wrong, just not up to date. :) This is two hybrid tuners plus FM. The two tuners are programed separately. I can watch one channel and record another at the same time. In my case, one is configured for ATSC (TV antenna for local HD) the other is configured for my satellite box. The FM has it's own input and all I did was split the TV antenna signal for that. (FM falls within channels 6-9) The card splits off the FM. I can also record a TV program while listening to the radio.

    Just can't record FM.

Yeah, I have two in my PC....just never used the radio tuner.

The recording feature was there in Vista.
Listen to radio in Windows Media Center

I don't know about Seven, though.

The Hauppauge software will allow recording, but it's not like having an integrated recorder.
