Windows 7: More flexible audio queries?

More flexible audio queries?

Hi guys, looking again at WMC after a long absense. So much is great, but it seems the reason for me going elsewhere still seems to be the same. It's the old problem of the limited and inflexible way in which WMC handles audio files. Forgive me if I'm wrong but there still doesn't seem to be a way of handling Contributing Artist..... For the past couple of years I've been using the JRiver MC player, which allows you to build/configure views of your media files based on any combination of tag values. It's a thing of beauty, but doesn't have the range of plug-ins of WMC, and personally I prefer the WMC interface. But it did allow me to build whatever queries/views I needed to handle a large audio collection in the particular way I wanted.
So I'm stuck with a choice. JRiver - great for audio queries, less choice for plugins; or WMC - great for lots of stuff (My Movies, Tuner Free MCE etc), very limited for audio queries.
So, does anyone know of a better, more flexble way of viewing/organising audio files within WMC?
