Windows 7: Poor video quality after entering MCE.

Poor video quality after entering MCE.

Now this may not directly be related to MCE, however I use the machine mainly in it, and this is where I notice the problem. I have noticed that many times when I enter MC that the picture kinda goes grainy, making many of the images blurr and the text illegible. I have never had this problem before, and it is driving me nutz. I thought perhaps it was a driver issue, so I proceeded to reinstall my graphics, and chipset drivers, to no avail. I am using an older AMD Opteron 170 on a Asus A8N-SLI Premo board. I remember there being some sort of patch or plugin that was for the processor to make the system run better, could that possible be an issue? Videos playback just fine using a player such as MPCHC outside of MCE, but any HD playback through MCE is just laggy, and unwatchable... but this is only when it does shift to a grainy screen.

Any ideas?
