    My WMP is messing up

I truly wish I could roll back WMP to when I never used it but I can't.

Somehow now whenever I open it any music that does not have artwork associated with it is given a random album cover. These previously had a "music note". This cover is applied to ALL music except those that have artwork as part of the file.

The next time I open it it will apply a different album cover. This just started as I was trying to figure out why my music folders in explorer weren't displaying artwork properly. Somehow I changed a setting or something. Please help.

A good place to start would be to rebuild your WMP library. Windows Media Player - Rebuild Corrupted Libraries

That didn't work. As it rebuilt the library it still would do the same crazy thing of putting the same album cover on every album that didn't have artwork.

I found a way to "reset WMP to it's initial settings. To the point where you get the set up screen. This is something I had been trying unsuccesfully to do since this thread:

    How to turn back WMP

Very strange what was going on but crossing fingers that this solved it. But if it ever goes bad again I know how to reset it and that should always work.

That's a shame. I hope your reset works better.
