Hide Media Center Menu Strips

I was asked to post this here, it is an older quick tool I wrote for Media Center.

It is helper app for hiding the menu strips. This does NOT do any resource editing, it is registry based only. It works for Vista and Windows 7.

For All Users setting you will need to run the application with administrative rights.

For add\removing custom strips please see this tool: DotNetGear Blog Archive Windows Media Center – Custom Start Menu Strips with WMCCC Wizard (Note: I haven't tried the tool, I use another method myself)

Btw, I use this to simplify MC on the extender accounts so you only see Music, Movies and TV.

I have a custom Menu Strip called Favorites that I use for going directly to a specific channel from the home page.
