Please Help Anyone, I have been troubleshooting this setup for days with no luck. I have Windows 7 64bit Professional I am useing a DIR-825 Router with a gigabyte D-link switch downstairs to Xbox 360, everything is hard wired cat-5e. It was all working great for over a year now until one day I got the bright
Idea I would update all my drivers
and also install SP1 I also updated the firmware on the router. This is a media server so it rarely even gets accessed so it was a little behind. Now every time I connect Xbox to media center I have to reconfigure. If I exit media center extender and then try to enter the connection is gone and my computer starts having trouble even seeing the Xbox. If I unplug the Xbox and plug directly into the second motherboard Ethernet port it works awesome. So I figured router trouble. I purchased a new Cisco e4200 and made it work for 2 days then boom no more connection same problem. I have Macrium Reflect disk imaging so I have went back 2 months to when I knew everything was working and I am still experiencing the same problem. I still am Leary of some sort of router setting that I set 3 years ago and have since forgotten and got wiped out when I updated the Firmware. I am back on the old d-link router with the old firmware pre SP1 and still having the same trouble. Sorry for the wordiness.
