How do you get two IR blaster cables to work?

Hello,

First let me give some details of my hardware configuration. My OS is Windows 7 Home 64 Bit. I have two TV tuners, one is a Hauppauge HVR 2250 and the other is the original tuner that came with my HP 9300ct computer. I have an IR blaster kit that I bought from Hauppage ( link: Hauppauge Computer Works Web Store ).

I have Comcast digital cable and my goal is to use my tuners to be able to record two channels simultaneously. I have two cable boxes (DTAs, to be precise) and two ir blasters. The back of the IR receiver from Hauppauge has two ports so this is where I have connected the two IR blasters which attach to the cable boxes. I am able to receive cable TV just fine from both tuners. The issue is that Windows Media Center can only change the channel on one of the cable boxes. I have checked that both ir blaster cables work when they are plugged in individually, but they do not work together. Does anyone know what might be the reason?

Many thanks!
