    Streaming from Computer to TV

I want to stream what is playing on the computer, to the TV. Which won't cost much. I'm hoping this can be done with a cable. I'm looking for something that can go from a computer port and split into a composite cable, whether it's YouTube, Broadcast company channel etc.

What kind of TV are you wanting to stream to, or connections do you have?

For example if the TV supports DLNA, you need only connect the TV to your router and setup your server (which takes just a minute)

Need more info though on exactly what type of setup you have to offer better advice.

I assume this device plugs into the video card in which I then have to buy another long cord to plug it into my TV and everything works ?

that is correct, you can use S-video to connect to your Cathode TV, i'm not sure about audio though, but you can connect the audio if the TV supports audio from different sources.

If your TV is an old one, it may be quite hard to do. IF there is a VGA to composite cable you would also need to run a 3.5 jack out. to phono in for the sound.

    The TV has composite in.
How reliable is the device given in this thread, has anyone had any experience with it ?

You are presumably wanting something to go from your display out port? Which is probably VGA or similar. My point is even if such a thing exists, it would only carry video not sound.

The device I'm speaking about was mentioned in post #4. That device cannot send audio from the PC to TV ? The author of that thread had problems with that device. Is there any device that will work perfectly without problems that someone can come forward and give positive reviews ?
