Manually add TV shows to Recorded TV?

I though that using the Recorded TV section would be PERFECT for managing the movie series that i ripped from my dvd archives, but WMP AND WMC refuse to see them, even though I added their folders into the Recorded tv libraries.

Help? thanks.

WMC won't read files out of the Recorded TV folder other than the files created by Media Center. You need to place MPEG files in their own folder and allow WMC to add the folders to it's list of media folders.
Those folders can be accessed from the Video and Music menus.

So... There isn't a .xml file somewhere that lists all of the recorded shows that I can edit?
