Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player 12 don’t play well toget

Ever since I have been running Windows Media Center some 2 years now, I have the following problem:

If both programs are up and I play and pause a song in Windows Media Player 12 and then watch anything in Windows Media Center, pause it, go back to Windows Media Player 12, I get the following message: “An audio device was disconnected or reconfigured. Verify that the audio device is connected, and then try to play the item again.” If I click “OK” I can then resume playing that song. I have read that many people get this error but I haven’t found anyone who gets it when combined with Windows Media Center.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

JJ
