I am currently having the problem now. It says I can't play the video file and it gives me error code C00D11B1.

If I were to restart my computer it would fix. What I want to do is find out WHY I'm getting this error.

A few notes.

- This happens RANDOMLY. I'll be away from the computer for awhile, come back and the error will pop up if I try to play a video file.

- If I call somebody on Skype while I am having this problem the entire background will be gray and not the blackish-blue color. Look at the picture below to see what I mean.

- I thought it was my display adapter so I went into device manager and disabled / re-enabled it and everything was fixed. This only works SOMETIMES. Other times it wont re-enable and I am forced to restart.

- During this problem I am unable to view the video preview in my HD-PVR capture software.

If anyone knows what problem I am having, please help me. It's so frustrating. I Googled the error code so many times and have found no matches to my issues and nothing helped. I have basically tried everything from deleting my display driver, sound driver and re-installing the newest versions of both. Also I tried older versions of the drivers and nothing worked. It just continues to randomly happen.
