Using 2 displays (monitor for computing and TV for WMC) how to set the

I知 having a few teething problems with my setup and this is one of them.

Currently I have them set as DUPLICATE. That is, whatever is on my monitor is also on my TV and vice versa. However, I知 not sure this is the best option. What do most people use?

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND I DO NOT USE MY TV FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN WMC WHEN IT COMES TO USING THE PC.

If I set my display to ONLY using my monitor, is there a setting in WMC which will automatically use my TV over HDMI even if it痴 not selected in display settings in Windows 7?

I知 having some issues here because my monitor is being very temperamental (I知 not sure why, probably because of the duplicated settings?).

Thanks.
