Media Center Home Setup
I don't know how this all works, but basically I'm considering getting rid of my STBs and relying on an InfiniTV PCI-e card with a CaptureCard.
For TV #1, I will have a computer with the cablecard installed, attached to the TV. I will use this unit as a DVR, in a sense.
TV #2, is a SD TV, in a completely separate room. Currently, this is no computer attached.
Question: What equipment do I need to view recorded content on the computer attached to TV #1? What about Live TV via the tuner installed on the computer connected to TV #1? Is it pretty much just a matter of hooking up another computer to TV #2, configuring Windows Media Center to get its information from a network source? If that's the case, then for TV #2, would a Windows 7 Nettop be just fine?
I'm not very familiar with WMC, that is, I don't know how or if you can configure its network source.
I currently have Verizon FiOS Internet, TV and Phone. The router is the Actiontec 802.11g. I do not own an XBOX 360 and I don't really plan on buying one, either.
