Hi Folks,
Just wanted to report excellent results with the setup I'm running:
- WiFi WAPs: a pair of Netgear WNHDE111's set to N only, WISH rules created for the subnet used for HDTV transport on both units.
- WISH Rule: any UDP set to VO (Voice) priority within the dedicated HDTV subnet
- WMM Enabled
I decided to fully dedicate a subnet soley to HDTV, so 192.168.3.1/255.255.255.0 is purely for this use. It is isolated from any other network.
The HTPC has an N WiFi card (Non 5GHz) that connectes to my regular LAN subnet for internet connectivity and access to my NAS for movies/shows/etc.
WAPs are a room apart, about 12ft. Signal is strong (90-100%).
The outcome is I'd say 99%, with 1% being some very minor pixelation. Recording while watching live TV works great. Haven't tested it to much but it is certainly possible and the recordings are studder free and crystal clear.
