Windows 7 - Is there an issue with WMC incorrectly reporting copy protection

I'm getting copy protection indicated in WMC on a lot of my recordings. The HDhomerun Prime people say there is a know issue to them with WMC incorrectly reporting copy protection. Same shows different episodes, some are saying copy protected and other are not. Even the retransmitted over the air shows on cable are flagged or not flagged.

HDhomerun Prime tech support suggested trying to play a copy protected recording on another machine. I tried in WMC on a Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit machine and it said I couldn't play it because it was copy protected. This WMC had a library setup for the other machine so I used the shared area of WMC to access the files.

The a few days later I tried playing the files on another computer using file explorer to access them. I double clicked on and it played in WMC and I proceeded to play 3 or 4 more in media player. Then I went back to the previous machine that didn't play them in WMC using a shared media library setup in WMC. It still said it wouldn't play it from the shared area but played them all in media player.

It looks like WMC is incorrectly reporting/flagging them as copy protected? If so what's the fix?
