Live TV button does not start WMC7

    Live TV button does not start WMC7


    I have a harmony 880 remote that is working well with WMC7 (Home Premium 64bit). Until recently, pressing the button for Live TV would start Media center and start playing live tv. Now it does not. I can see the red LED indicate that the command is being received. If I have Media Center open at the homepage and press the Live TV button, then Media Center will switch to playing live tv. So I would say that the remote is fine but something has happened in Windows so that it no longer knows what to do with the Live TV command if Media Center is not already running. I am hoping someone can direct me to the right fix.

    I am very computer literate so phrase your replies to whatever competence level you desire. I can say that I also checked other commands to see if they started up Media Center but they did not (Recorded TV, Pictures, Videos, Movies, Music, Start). I did not normally use any of these except in Media Center already so I don't know with certainty that any of them did work previously.

    OK. I guess writing this down helped me think of a couple of more things to try. I had done a reboot which did not solve the problem. I just did a cold boot and now it seems to be working again.
