    Xbox360 WMP12 problems?

Hello, having a problem getting my xbox360 to link up with wmp12. Its not listed on the network streaming options in wmp12 and my pc isn't listed on the xbox360 connection page. Using a wireless setup the last windows 7 I used before RTM worked fine does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

make sure both devices are on the same network and that media sharing is on and that the 360 has access to the shares

working fine here, make sure to add your personal folders to the Organise>Manage Libraries in WMP12.

not sure about the 360 not appearing in WMP, what i did was, set it to Allow all devices. No one is really going to hack WEP or WPA.

Also ive turned off Password protection.

Managed to fix it . Was using windows 7 manager and it seemed to block sharing so un applied changes and it found 360 straight away now re applied and its all working fine still. Happy days

Also a side note, the first time you turn on streaming it sets you up with homegroup. for some reason i have to leave the homegroup and go back and turn on streaming again and that time it asks me to enable streaming. wierd, i know, if i set up homegroup, xbox doesn't see my pc but after i leave the homegroup and turn on media streaming again it sees it.

THIS. This fixed it. After every possible workaround, all the ridiculous troubleshooting. Leave the homegroup. Recreate/Re-join. Can someone explain why this would ever be necessary?
