Media Center seperate hardrive(s) question for videos
I am currently maxed out on my 2 tb harddrive and would like to add a harddrive. However, I would like for Media center to only see one "Movie" folder. Does anyone know a way to do this without setting up a raid setup?
Not sure if you got this solved, but one way to do this is to use a .vf file for your movies list. I have my movies on multiple drives, but because of the .vf file, I don't see a bunch of folders showing up in MB. You have to place the .vf file in your C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser\StartupFolder.
In notepad enter your movie locations as such, (you MUST put the trailing back slash) The image line tells MB where the image that represents your movie collection is located.

I am currently using media browser and it currently doesnt see more than one folder called nesting. However, IM wondering if media center allows this?
Thx for the quick reply!
You need to check the box in MB that tells it to view nested folders. Open MB, then click the configuration icon, then click the Media Options tab, then check the box for "Allow Nested Movie Folders". Hope this helps. I use the Chocolate theme, so my configuration icon is on the upper right. Depending on the theme you are using, the configuration icon maybe elsewhere.
