I had it disabled already, see screenshot of my current setting.

On the Config TAB of the 64bit Settings app, click the button to access, [Icaros Thumbnailing]
click Deactivate, add .MP4 to the optional filetypes retaining formatting and then click Activate.
For subtitles, you need to disable the Microsft Video decoder on the SWAP TAB. Do this in the 64bit app for Media Center playback.

cccp ia 100% useless in this scenario.
He has a 64bit operating system and Windows Explorer,
which is producing the thumbnail, is a 64bit process requiring 64bit codecs.

Maybe for this scenario,but CCCP they are working just fine for me in my systems and others.
