May I safely disable "Media Features" from "Windows Features" menu?

I am currently perusing the "Turn Windows features on or off" menu and I see I can disable Media Features. This will disable Windows Media Center, Windows DVD Maker and Windows Media Player. When I attempt to disable these features I receive a warning from Windows that "turning off media features might affect other windows features and programs installed on your computer". I use VLC for video, Foobar2000 for music and I burn DVD's using other software. Seeing as I never use those 3 feautres is it safe to disable the entire thing?

Remove folder from "Turn Windows Features on or off" in control panel
I'm looking for a way to actually remove the folder for "Games" under "Turn Windows Features on or off" in Control panel. We need to completely remove the folder from the list so that our users can't just go in and re install the games. Thanks.
