WMP 12 cannot locate files
For some reason my WMP 12 (running on Win 7 Prof 32 bit machine) cannot locate the MP3 files for certain Playlists.
I recently moved these MP3s from one folder to another folder, but stayed within the same main folder: ie. from My Music\Music\Save to USB to My Music\Music\Saved I regularly copy my MP3s to an external USB Flash drive - just in case of hard disk failure. I have been doing this for the last couple of years without a problem. Suddenly, in the last month, when I want to play something WMP tells me: "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted."
I can manually recreate any playlists from the last month, no biggie, but what might I have done to cause this...besides moving the files as I normally do?
