windows media center "cannot set up extender" xbox 360
im new here and this is my first post,
I am unable to connect my xbox 360 to my PC through media center. I have spent a day trying to work this out but i keep getting the "Cannot set up extender" error after entering the 8-digit code from the xbox. I have reset everything back to default to start again and need some simple 'dummy proof' help
I have tried several solutions but none of them have worked for me. Also when attempting the 'multicast and UPnP" enabling on the router, i cannot find 'multicast' on my Belkin router
It's not the Xbox, it comes up fine in the "View network and devices" map. i have also tried connecting my sisters xbox in the same method but hat had the same result. so it must be PC or network? I cannot add the Xbox as a device in the "Devices and Printers" area either. Although it is showing on the network map.
My PC and Xbox connections are both wireless to my router.
this is really bugging me now as it should be a simple easy process. I have done it before with this computer but i had to format and re-install windows a few weeks back and now i can no longer do it!
Please can someone help me?
