How to remove photos from windows media center?

I finally got windows media center to work on my xbox 360, so now I can stream music and movies to my TV and such. However, it has also shared things such as my photo library, i.e everything in the "My Pictures" folder. However this folder contains files such as work I have done which I don't want to be browsed by whoever uses the Xbox. I cant find anyway of stopping any of the folders being shared though. One solution I have seen is just to move all the images out of files viewable by windows media center, but I really don't want to just empty my "my pictures" folder somewhere else.

Does anyone know of a solution?

    Thanks

Do you view pictures in WMC at all? If not, just go into the WMC settings, go to the library, and edit the Pictures library and remove My Pictures from it.

No I dont use it to view images. But how do I do that? If I go Tasks -> Settings -> Pictures my options are slide shows, slide show screen savers, favourite pictures and ratings. Looking at the actual images I can right click, Manage Library -> Remove folders from the libary -> Select my folders, but when I click next it says no folders will be removed and if I just go ahead and go with it nothing happens.

Yeah, it's sort of backward logic but I guess it helps to keep someone from accidentally removing folders.

    Glad it worked for you.

Clearing that check box may work for a while, but WMC does not obey your request over time. Since I take amateur pictures for others (weddings, graduations, etc.), I carefully segregate my photos into two entirely separate folders. I give WMC only the folder that contains my family folders. Otherwise our slideshows are dominated by thousands of pictures that are not relevant to our lives.

Over time WMC ignores my direction and goes and snoops out the rest of my drive. It discovers the other pictures and proudly adds them to the slide show bucket. It does not add the discovered folder to a list that I can un-check.

I cannot make WMC stop this extremely annoying behavior. If anyone knows how to gain control of the beast, please share!

    Thank you.

What do you have set up for "Favorite Pictures"? Use the option at the bottom to restrict the slide show pictures to specific folders.
