WMC is hogging folders that I want to remove/delete

I have tried to delete several folders containing recorded DVDs. Most of them went, but there are a half dozen that can not be deleted.

The structure is:
f:\dvds
- DVDName#1
- Videots
- Audiots
- DVDName#2
- Videots
- Audiots
etc

These were in WMC Movies Library, by using their parent folder f:\dvds. However I have now removed that from the library. All the successfully deleted folders were in the same parent folder.

BUT. When I actually look a the list of folders that WMC will look at for media, these sub-folders are still there. However they are not in the list of folders that can be removed.

My action in WMC is Movies/Manage Library/Remove Folders from Library. All that is listed there is G:\DVDs. That is the new location and drive for my DVDs, as the old one was getting pretty full. But then at the end of the exercise, it says "WMC will look for media in the following folders" and there are dozens, including the sub-folders I can't delete. Obviously this is what is locking these folders.

Any help appreciated

And if you use Windows Explorer to delete the folders?

That was what I was trying in the first place. That was why I was showing the folder structure. Permissions and all that.

I managed to deal with it.

I went through ALL the libraries, until I had found any instance of the offending folders and deleted them.

That still did not work. I had to reboot. Then I could delete the f:\dvds folder and all subfolders.

WMC seems a bit messy about its folders. It only allows pertinent folders to be manipulated in each are (Movies, Recorded TV etc) but then shows all the other areas' folders as well. You have to go to Tasks/Settings/Media Libraries to see the true picture, but going through all the areas one by one.

Yes and thank you. It is marked solved. I _think_ did that. I had a few threads going, all connected and at the same time
