    Playback dvd WMC.

For some time now I’m a satisfied user of Windows Media Center. I have connected my Xbox 360 with my pc and until now I always watched dvix movies. This was working great. But recently I bought a full HD TV so I want to play full HD DVD.

So I have been trying to get this to work. I’ve got a folder (“name movie”) which contains VIDEO_TS / AUDIO_TS folders. The next step was to point de movie tab to the right folder which contains the movie.

I rebooted WMC and clicked on the movie tab, but nothing, he couldn’t find the movie.

Did I do something wrong, or do I need to do something else? Can anyone please help me?

Did you add the movie folder to the movie library in WMC? Also, your folder structure should look like this:

moviedirectory\moviename\video_ts and audio_ts folders (for DVD)
    moviedirectory\moviename\bdmv (for BD)

I don't have any HD DVD titles, so I don't know how those folders are named.

WMC does not support HD DVD or BD playback - you need software like PowerDVD or TMT (or other software that can playback HD folder structure) to do that.

Yes, I did add the movie folder to the movie library. and i placed my movie folder in a moviedirectory. But it doesn't seem to work. Still can't see them in my movie library in WMC. I suppose you can always see the dvds also when you can't play them, right?

The one thing i didn't do is installed software like powerDVD or TMT because I have no idea what I have to do. Is there a good guide on how to install this the right way?? And what is the best program? do i need to install codecs seperatly?
