Scheduled Recording of Tv Hello all
This may sound a dumb question, but I have only just started using Media Centre to watch & record TV. I want to record something starting at 3 a.m. Can I put my PC into "sleep" mode, or do I have to leave it switched on? If "on", does it have to have Media Centre showing, or can I leave it on Desktop?
Sorry if this sounds obvious to everyone else! I can access and use Media Centre TV via mouse or the genuine MC Remote.
EDIT: I have just tried to open & view a recorded Programme, I get this message concerning it: "Your media usage rights have become corrupted or are no longer valid. This might happen if you have replaced hardware components in your computer."
I have NOT Replaced any hardware components since installing & setting up my TV card, which is A Hauppauge Nova - TD - 500a DVB-t Tuner.
Now I am really baffled! Help please?

Well I guess it was a dumb Question, to judge from the non-existent responses!
Anyway, I set it to record, set the PC to "Sleep" and it has recorded OK. Worried about nothing, I suppose. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number (PC) Gigabyte EG41MFT-US2H Self build. (Laptop) HP Dv7. OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. You can put your computer into either "sleep" or even "hibernation", and it WILL wake up at the proper time to perform a scheduled recording. Just don't require a password to be entered at wake-up, as that would probably prevent things from restarting promptly and automatically as required. But you can probably overcome whatever might be responsible for this simply by re-running the Windows Experience Index. That's where all of your current hardware (and WMC's DRM capabilities) are based, to ensure you have HDCP-compliant hardware... for viewing copy-protected content. Running WEI should straighten out any current confusion or issues. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home-built, two systems (1) and (2) OS Windows 7 Pro x64 (1), Win7 Pro X64 / WinXP Pro x86 on (2) CPU i5-3350p 3.1Ghz/6MB-cache (1); E8400 3.0Ghz/6MB-cache (2) Motherboard ASUS P8Z77-V Pro (1); ASUS P5Q3 (2) Memory 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3 (1); 4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 (2) Graphics Card ATI HD5770 dual-DVI (1), (see TV cards); ATI HD4850 (2) Sound Card Realtek ALC892 HD Audio (1); Realtek ALC1200 HD Audio (2) Monitor(s) Displays Eizo HD2441W LCD, Eizo S2433W (1); Eizo 24" S2433W (2) Screen Resolution 1920x1200, 1920x1200 (1); 1920x1200 (2) Keyboard IBM PS/2 (1) and (2) Mouse Logitech MX Revolution wireless (1); Microsoft wired (2) PSU Nesteq ECS-6001 600W (1); Nesteq ECS-5001 500W (2) Case Acousti-Case 360 (1) and (2) Cooling Noctua NH-U12P SE2 for CPU, 2x120mm case fans (1) and (2) Hard Drives (1) 1TB SATA-II (7200RPM), 2TB SATA-II (7200RPM), 2TB SATA-III (7200RPM), 250GB SATA-III (10000RPM) for OS;
