Windows 7: Media Center won't resume playback of ripped movies

Media Center won't resume playback of ripped movies

I've searched and searched online, but I cannot find the answer to this.

I rip my dvd movies to *.wtv files and place the files in //movies. Playback is great and YAMMM picks up all metadata perfectly, but these files will not resume but only restart playback even if I click resume.

I also rip tv shows from dvds to *.wtv files and place them in //recorded tv. No difference from my dvd movie rips but no YAMMM metadata and different file folder. All of these rips resume fine.

How can I get my dvd movie rips to resume? Can this be done without additional MC plugins? I understand the easy answer is to place my movies into the //recorded tv folder, but I don't want to have 200+ listings every time I pull up recorded tv.
