Wake up from sleep to record?

Not sure where to post this, but my XP Media Center would wake up from sleep or hibernate to record (sometimes, not always). I can't seem to get Win7 to do this. It sleeps just fine, but will not wake up at the recording time.

I have power options set to never automatically sleep - I set it via power button - and the advanced power/Sleep/Allow setting is "Enable".

What settings am I getting wrong?

    Thanks,
    EdB

Hmmm - I haven't tried this yet - but I am kinda sure that it would create a task Scheduler item, and there you could set it to run with admin privileges and then set it to wake the computer every time it needed to.

Unfortunately I don't have time to test this, but if you send me a PM around Friday (if you haven't found an answer) I can test this on my end and see if I can get it working correctly.

Chuckle. johngalt is a busy man.

I am posting this to buy time. This question has been asked and answered on the forum. I will search for the thread.

Maybe someone will beat me to it.

Thanks for that Antman - I have stickied the thread as the developer is actively working to make that app Windows 7 compatible, and I have posted what I found in his forums as the last post.

EdB you might want to take a look at that application for your needs....

Wake from sleep to record works fine for me under Windows 7 RC 7100. I use to have problems getting my computer to stay in sleep mode. It would automatically wake up seconds after sleep was invoked. I never was able to find a software fix for this but when I switched from a Asus mother board to a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P all was fixed.
