    okay, now this is weird:

    i just installed the rc-version of win7. i did not do anything except running windows update. during the update, it installed something titled aversomething, this time without any troubles. so i thought "lets see if the tv-card works now!"
    started media center, scanned for channels. when i then switched to the watch-tv-part, i was surprised to see a clear video-output. no grey and nothing. only a bit poor quality.

    so stupid me thought i could aswell try avermedia again. installed only the software, not the driver (!) and started avermedia. same result, video is grey. switched back to media center: video output grey, too. uninstalled avermedia: video-output still grey in media center.

    so to me it appears like the avermedia-software, not the driver, is in some way causing the trouble. (as if it install some bad video-render or something)
    if anybody of you is willing to watch tv via the media center, this could be a solution.

    OS: Win 7 Build 7127
    TV Card: AVerMedia A16D PCI Hybrid DVB-T
    TV Soft: AVerTV v6.0.12 (08072101)
    Driver: v3.5.0.65 / v3.5.0.69

    Same problem with gray picture
    For me is just enough add this two lines above [UI_SECTION] or in my case in section [AVerMedia A16D PCI Hybrid DVB-T]

    Code:
    ContrastVMR=64
    SaturationVMR=64
    or you can just use this simply patch

    well, i finally got it to work for me, too. in fact, that patch helped, but the most important, what nobody told me, was to set avertv to use the video mixing renderer instead of leaving it on auto. ^^

    did you try to play around with the settings in the aver-software after applying the patch? look under configuration -> "forms"?
    (i dunno if its called forms in the english version, it should be the first one with a +/- in front of it indicating its expandable)

    once there, look out for some field that has something with video renderer or something written above. should be a drop-down where you can select diferent ones. try the Video Mixing Renderer. it should do the trick.

    New drivers

    New Drivers arrived for AverTV Super 007 (a.o).

    AVerMedia AVerTV Global - AVerTV TV Tuners and Multimedia Products - AVerTV Super 007

    But be aware. You have to switch of UAC! Otherwise you will go BSOD.

    AverMedia M135C

    Hi
    I've this PCI Hybrid card, perfectly working under Windows XP Pro 64bit, but, with Windows 7, there are many troubles. My software is WindVr 6 (by Intervideo) .
    1) Digital tuning isn't complete. In order to fix this trouble I've imported the 'chan' file from XP 64bit!! (it's strange, but working)
    2) When I try to record a clip, the program shuts down.
    3) The software from Avermedia doesn't find the card!

    So I can watch television, but not recordering!

    I'm becoming crazy
    Regards
    Donald
