    On-screen Buttons in Media Centre

What is the purpose of the buttons in the bottom left corner of the live TV screen ?

I would have thought MS would have taken the effort to put bubble popups on all of the controls or at least to publish a guide; I can't find a definitive guide anywhere !

Secondly, does the Media Centre capture use of the remote control to itself? My remote does not work in WinTV-7 since I activated live TV in Media Centre.

Just click them. You will soon find out. The red one is to start a recording. The next one is to view the TV guide. +- changes the channels. It is irritating that there are no bubble popups, but you will get used to it.

No way! Who knows what damage that may do.

Thanks, but I don't think so - I'm unimpressed with it so I'll stick with WinTV-7 as it's adequate for my needs.

Actually I was enquiring about the row of round buttons at bottom left, The others are standard designs.
