WES 7 Media Centre

Hello,

Right...im really new to all this stuff but basically here it goes...

I have a PC running Windows 7 home premium to use IE and media centre for all my movies, tv, music and live tv. Anwway after suggesting today that 'oh it would be brilliant if i could just run media centre directly on an operating system' someone at work suggested 'WES 7'. Anyway ive just googled it and watched some youtube video's and looks exactly what i am after. I want to run a home network where i can share all my media throughout the house. My current version of home premium works ok, but has a lot of things running i dont need. I simply want to be able to run my customised windows media centre booted up from startup without all the other stuff!

Now...my knowledge isnt brilliant, but would love some help and guidance from some of you experts. I have a few questions...

1) Is this actually possible to do?
2) Can i still run media centre cusomisation?
3) Will all my drivers function (ie for satellite cards etc)
4) How difficult it is to configure?
5) Where do i start?

Thanks
