    Password Protect Media

Is there a way you can have a photo or video folder that would show up in the usual way in WMC (Seven) but when you click on it MC will ask for a password or code, therefore protecting it from prying eyes!

Right click on the folder in question>properties>Security choose what groups permissions you want to edit ... edit to taste close... This should do the trick..

That would require logging on and off as different users wouldn't it?

There are no multiple users on my MC, it logs straight in.

I'll try that parental thing though!
EDIT: I'm wanting people who are old enough to watch anything to be stopped from watching my own videos (no not porn!). Age restrictions wouldn't work for that nor do I know how to put a rating on my own?

    Thanks!

I dont understand the need for a password protected folder/file if you are the only user then... No one really cares about the xxx pics or pron that you may have ... well, maybe your mom....

Make sure that your account is protected with a strong password, and create a new account and restrict what they can access... and what they cant... Its pretty easy to do..

Multiple logons wont work, its a Media Centre that everyone uses as its in the living room. It Records everyones TV, people watch Movies/Pics etc as its the only thing plugged into the Telly. In fact its always on during the day for recording.

All I need is a way to make it so when you click on a folder in say 'Pictures' or 'Movies' it prompts for a pin code that I can enter with the MC remote.
