Hello,
I can't open any programs because of windows media center. I tried to access the "default program" which can be found on the control panel but still the WMC pops out and also the regedit in the start-up menu still WMC pops out. All my app icons are WMC. If i open it WMC will pop out. Lastly, I tried to make a system restore but it didn't work because WMC pops out again. What should i do to fix this? Is there any way?

You could try disabling Windows Media Center. But I don't think that will help. It sounds like your file associations have changed.

I agree. It sounds like your file associations got messed up. If you like, download and merge the .reg files for the listed EXE and lnk (LNK) options in the tutorial below. They will restore their default associations, and hopefully fix this for you.
