    Media Center Studio - Revival

In an attempt to revive Media Center Studio I've massaged the original binaries into code

    What's done:
    • I've rewritten the 4 class libraries
    • I spent the better part of a week rewriting most of the XAML
    • I've created a solution with everything in it
    • I've uploaded all of the source to GitHub

What's on the list to do:
    • Revamp the entire solution, there is some funky logic in there
    • Get it back to the state that the original one was in
    • Generate an installer

    What you can do:
    • If you're a developer (C#, WPF, XAML) and you want to help develop the software let me know!
    • Wait for development to happen

Follow the progress on github https://github.com/kingpin2k/MCS

Very cool that you did this. I'm a c# developer and would like to see if I can contribute to getting Media Center Studio breathing again and perhaps improving it. Unfortunately the github link is returning a 404. Does anybody having any info on this? Is MCS open source at this point? Is there an owner/maintainer out there somewhere? Does anybody have a pointer to (or copy of) the source code?
I did find a copy of the binaries here: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=08afd...C7C9FD88%21544

I'm not sure why it's returning a 404, I can see it, but I'm logged in, yet it's a public repo... hmmm weird. I'll figure it out. I submitted a bug to github, it looks like it's an issue on their side, but yes I still have the source. I haven't put much effort into it since I didn't get much interest in it, though I did get it working.

Update: Github fixed it, it's all good now!

Awesome. I've downloaded, compiled, and started testing. It seems like there are some issues removing/customizing menus. I will fork & send pull requests if I make any progress. 1,000 thanks for getting the ball rolling on this, it is truly great.

This is fantastic news and bless you for doing it!!

I have no development experience, but I've done plenty of usability and beta testing. If ever you need a second end-user experience for a build, let me know!

Also, have you cross advertised this over on TheGreenButton? I bet there would be a ton of takers over there that would help you.
