    Media Player libraries

    Good Afternoon Folks:

I need a little help with the libraries in WMP.

To provide a little clarity as to what I require:
    1. I do not want any files imported to WMP unless I specifically place them there. How do I stop WMP from automatically importing files from my Users Libraries?
    2. I do not want album art applied to my music files. How do I stop it?
    3. How do I deleted complete libraries without manually do it one file at a time? This thing has grabbed all my photos and I don't want them there. I have about a thousand to delete and it's very time consuming.

To further clarify: I only use WMP for ripping and burning music files. These files are listed in my Music Library in the order I list them and with the information I provide for each song. That's how I want them to show up in the WMP Libary. I don't want them separateed into individual artists or genres. I simply want them displayed as a list.

If this can't be accomplished with WMP, can anyone suggest a very simple music application that doesn't try to decide for me how I want my files displayed. I've tried a few and they all suffer from the same problem...they all think they know best how I want to manage these files and, if you're not very careful, they will co-opt all your media files and simply clutter up the system

    Regards to one and all

i used to use wmp all the time, since then i use winamp, you can skin it and have it look decent, i dont add anything to the winamp library, so i dont point it toward my music folders, i open my music folder select a folder/album and click play all, winamp opens ,simple .
once you get into winamp more there are nice plugins that can allow the last album to continue to playback from when you last closed winamp. and so on.

to remove your pictures from wmp see this thread...
