    WMC Can't watch tv (OTA) channel

    Hi and thanks for viewing my post :)

    I have windows 7 and just added HDHomeRun (dual) to my computer for Tv viewing. I also have an antenna for OTA channels.

    Now Here is the problem; When I try to watch a specific channel 25.1 I get a black screen.

    Here is what i've tried;

    When I go to tasks, settings, tv, tv signal and run the "digital TV antenna signal strength" option it lists a channel and gives it 4 out of 6 bars for strength. NOW I HAVE OTHER CHANNELS GIVEN THE SAME BARS THAT i'M ABLE TO WATCH. But this one channel I can't.... no message appears on screen??? it's just a black screen.

    For those familiar with HDHomeRun (dual) I am able to view this channel on HDHomeRun QuickTV. Please help me as I don't have many channels to watch :)

    Joe

    Suggest you contact HDHomeRun support. I have found them to be extremely helpful in getting viewing issues resolved. In the HDHR configuration guide, you can turn on data capture feature, and the system will automatically send HDHR support system info.

    I have just discovered a similar problem with my established WMC installation. I can no longer watch our local NBC station. Signal strength is solid green, but get a black screen and finally a message that there is no signal for this station, try again later.

    Checked for driver and windows updates, re-set the Media Center TV signal and re-scanned channels with the same results. NBC will not play on Media Center.

    I installed the WinTV app that came with the tuner and NBC comes in crystal clear!

    I see this as a WMC issue, not a tuner hardware problem. I do not know when this occurred, when I set this system up all stations came in fine. We really do not use WMC for live TV events unless the 'cable' goes out, but the 1 button to switch to the TV's ATSC tuner usually wins over the WMC remotes multiple buttons to get to 'Live TV'. However now I have convinced the family to use WMC to record the local networks to free up the DVR for cable programming only to find that NBC doesn't work!
    Any help out there?
    Thanks
