Ownership problems after settting up Windows Media Center

Hello, I recently set up windows media center on my pc with my xbox 360 as a media extender. Everything was fine and dandy until I noticed that I could no longer copy or move anything to my desktop.
It would come up with a dialog box that says folder access denied and 'You'll need to provide administrator permission to move this folder." (http://i.imgur.com/xvVw4zd.png) (http://i.imgur.com/axblg1l.png)
I also cannot access itunes as it says "the folder itunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder" (http://i.imgur.com/u0F2ghe.png)
How can I fix this problem? Do I have to uninstall windows media center?
