can't get WMC 7 to record tv program to disk using HDHR qam tuner

When I set up WMC 7 on my computer I had a HDHR tuner I had been using before Comcast converted over to digital. Using the QAM feature I can receive my local stations. However when I try to record one of the programs, all the indicators within WMC show it is recording or will record at the correct time but nothing is recorded in the proper directory ( or anywhere on my drive) . Also the recording icon in the system tray is not displayed. I have been working with this for a couple of weeks, but have had no success with the obvious things like virus scan, firewall, and all WMC setup items. Anyone had this before?

I've got HdHomerun Dual tuner, but do not have cable.
I get my TV from a rooftop antenna and get all local stations in HD.

The programs are put into a folder called "recorded TV." (C drive)

How to program WMC to record TV series NOT currently shown in Guide?
Let's say I want to set up my new WMC HTPC to record the series Downton Abbey or The Good Wife, both of which are currently on hiatus for new episodes. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell WMC that when the series re-starts with new programs, you want it to record them(?) This seems too...

Win 7 MC not happy with HDHR QAM
I was pleased when I saw that Windows 7 beta (build 7000) would have native QAM support. So I went ahead and installed it on my wife's HTPC, with her permission, of course. She has an HDHomeRun dual-tuner QAM box along with a Hauppauge 950 analog tuner stick. I had no problem installing the 950 and...
