Windows Media Players/browsers not working in fullscreen

When i go view a video fullscreen streaming like youtube or a video on my computer half of the screen will be purple and/or green color and the other half (left side) will be playing the video but tinted to whatever color the ride side is.

But this problem ONLY happens when i view videos full screen and only when using microsoft software, such as windows media center, windows media player, and internet explorer. All other browsers and video players run fine as usual. Chrome/firefox, VLC media player, XBMC...etc..etc all run fine in fullscreen.

Already cleared my cache, temporary internet files, junk files, history on my browsers, reinstalled flash, video drivers, turned off windows media features and turned them on, installed codec packs........

    What now?

All windows updates and driver updates have been double checked and installed.

Does the problem persist if you boot into safe mode (with or without networking) ? Also do you have a restore point set when there were no problems?

    no on the restore point

and if i boot into save mode WMC/WMP do not work, the video files are not installed.

    But VLC media player works.

This is both with and without networking.

Sorry I did not realize the Media players do not work in safe mode. I noticed you are using the Visio TV as a monitor, do you have a spare flat panel or CRT you can test with?

    no sorry i dont

I have my computer connected to my tv through an HDMI cable. I have tested that cable on other computers and my ps3 and also switched out to a newer cable that i bought not too long ago and the problem still occurs, so im not leaning towards the hdmi cable being the cause. The TV is just a few months old too. Within this year.

since i have 2 video cards i took one out of my computer and used my secondary one and the problem still occurs, so i ruled out anything hardware faulty being the graphic cards.

But i did notice when i use the DVI output using the same resolution 1920x1080 i dont have this problem but when i switch back to HDMI output it appears again.

And i have already switched back to default settings with Nvidia and windows 7 and my codec packs which i have tried.
