Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

A couple things to try:

1) open an elevated command prompt and type "sfc /scannow". Let that run and reboot.

2) Run Media Center Recovery Task from the task scheduler. Look in the Windows -> media center folder for this task (from within Task Scheduler). Run and reboot.

3) Remove media center from Programs and Features in Control Panel. Reboot. Now re-add Media Center the same way (checking the box). Reboot.

That's all I got. This has happened to me before and think I restored a system image to recover.

I run shark's codec pack too. No problems. Be sure you have shark suggested settings checked and when it asks if you use Play To or Live TV, say YES.
