Audio files (MP3) callout "InfoTip" in WinExplorer
An obscure request -- I hope I am in the correct forum.
With Windows Explorer, when mouse pointer hovers over any file a callout appears. (InfoTip ?)
Several years ago on a Win-XP PC registry, I rearranged the order of the callout info including adding and deleting items for MS Word documents. I cannot find my notes how/where I did it.
eg, I rearranged the order of info as it appeared on the callout. I added, deleted, demoted and promoted "info" I wanted to have quick access to, sourcing available "item-names" from the file properties dialog.
In Win-7 MP3 files display ...
... by default -- which does not give me "Comments" nor "Subtitle"
Part of my MP3 collection are lectures/documentaries that I need more info at a glance without opening cumbersome file-properties.
Win-Exp "Details pane" shows less info than a callout and occupies too much real estate on a laptop
Where and how can I tweak MP3 file info in the Win-7 registry. ?
For memory (in MS Word) the list was a semi-colon/comma (?) delimited string
I would hazard a guess MP3 audio files might be under a Windows Media Player registry key.
As my image (above) shows I use VLC as my default media player.
In HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.mp3 the "FileInfo" string, each semicolon-delimited item has a period-delimited "path" ... are you still with me?
I would be grateful for any ideas
